Biography[]

Early life[]

Lady Aquila Malfoy was born on 13 July, 1671, to Ambrosia Sidney, Duchess of Wiltshire. Her father was Saturnius Malfoy, the 10th Duke of Wiltshire, and she was their sixth child and daughter. Aquila already had five sisters, they were Aurelia, Hermia, Portia, Drusilla, and Ophelia. She was named for her paternal aunt, Aquila Malfoy I.

The Lady Aquila was part of a string of children born soon after one another. She was one year apart from twins Lady Desdemona Rowle (née Malfoy) and Cosette, and two years apart from twins Lucinda and Florinda.

Aquila's family called her "Temperance" for her kind nature. When she was eleven, the Head of the House of Nott described Aquila as a "budding young beauty" who had "grace, dignity, intelligence and sensibility" that enabled her to judge the different people she met and understand different points of view.

When Aquila was five years old, her older sister, Ophelia, passed away of an unknown affliction. When she was seven years old, her younger sister, Cosette, died of dragon pox.

Then, when she was ten years old, Aquila's younger sister Saturnina also died of dragon pox.

Hogwarts years[]

She began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1682, and she was sorted into Slytherin House. She owned a wand made of elder and unicorn hair.

Death[]

Aquila Malfoy II passed away aged 12 of smallpox at Hogwarts Castle in Midlothian, Scotland. She was the second student to die of the disease.

Etymology[]

From Latin aquila (“eagle”). In Acts in the New Testament Paul lives with Aquila and his wife Priscilla (or Prisca) for a time.

The name Malfoy translates to "bad faith".
